About Us

The Global Services team at Chainalysis is made up of world-class cryptocurrency investigators and enablement specialists who build trust in blockchains by mapping cryptocurrency activity to real-world entities. As a Data Analyst, you'll engage with investigators in joint blockchain forensic efforts and propose creative solutions to both unique and recurring problems.

The Role

We are seeking a Web3 Data Analyst based in New Delhi or within commutable distance. In this role, you'll provide data-driven insights that help surface behaviors and patterns of life based on blockchain activity.

Responsibilities

• Utilise huge datasets to identify criminal fingerprints across multiple blockchains
• Use Chainalysis tools and data to reveal and characterise relationships between blockchain entities
• Perform complex research into unique data sets to identify investigative leads
• Build data science subject matter expertise amongst teammates and customers
• Provide valuable insights directly to customers through data analytics
• Become a master of rich datasets allowing visibility into data both internally and externally
• Design and launch innovative solutions for expanding customer and company use cases

Requirements

• Expertise in data querying languages (e.g. SQL), scripting languages (e.g. Python)
• Background knowledge of blockchain analytics or forensic investigations
• Data-focused investigative research experience in intelligence, law enforcement, or academic settings
• Experience using data analytics to solve real-world problems and communicate with technical and non-technical audiences

Nice to Have

• Exposure to cloud data platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake
• Experience using visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI
• Experience producing investigative reports in cybersecurity or geopolitical fields
