About the Role
Limit Break is looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our team. The Data Engineering team builds core data infrastructure and applications in support of all areas of our business, including our studio teams, analytics, user acquisition, monetization, and finance. We are passionate about maximizing the value that data and analytics can provide to the business and are aggressively investing in new capabilities. Our team covers a lot of ground from real-time data ingestion through to scalable data pipelines.
Responsibilities
As a key member of the Data Engineering team, you will take ownership of data and you will work closely with Data Pipeline Engineers as well as stakeholders in Live Operations and Marketing to build tools, analytics and dashboards that are used to make critical business decisions. You will get the opportunity to work with rich data that is being ingested from multiple data sources in real-time. You will also work with a high scalable tech stack that includes Kafka, Imply Druid, EMR, Trino and Airflow.
Requirements
- 5+ years software engineering experience, especially working on data science and engineering projects
- 3+ years of data engineering experience, especially working on data analytics, creating dashboards
- Experience with Druid, Trino / Presto, Hive, Kafka and Superset
- Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow
- Experience with SQL and SQL-like languages
- Proficiency with at least one of the following languages: Python, Scala, R
- Proficiency in writing well-tested code, including unit-testing, integration testing and end-to-end testing
Nice to Have
- Experience with high-scale machine learning, i.e. Spark M/L, SageMaker, etc
- Experience with CI/CD process, testing framework, and containerization technology
