About the Role

The Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) is responsible for safeguarding the MoonPay platform against financial crime and money laundering activities. The FIU Analyst will directly support the Financial Intelligence Unit to ensure the business operates in accordance with all legal and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Utilize transaction monitoring and blockchain analytics solutions to independently analyze and assess activity or patterns of activity
• Review blockchain wallet screening and KYT alerts to determine customer activity risk indicators
• Conduct open source searches on relevant customers, counterparties, and transactional activity
• Analyze transactional activity using internal systems, blockchain screening tools, and open sources
• Prepare clear and concise alert and case dispositions for Suspicious Matter Report (SMR) consideration
• Discuss potentially unusual findings with Team Lead and Head of Compliance
• Ensure transaction monitoring alerts and case investigations are completed within established deadlines and SLAs

Requirements

• 2+ years experience in Financial Crime/Compliance analytical/investigations role
• Experience with blockchain analytics solutions (Chainalysis, TRM, Elliptic, CipherTrace, Scorechain)
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to handle shifting priorities in a dynamic environment
• Comfortable working independently and upskilling on new tools
• Team player with excellent communication skills
• Fluent in English

• Prior experience in fintech/cryptocurrency company
• Blockchain analytics solution certifications
• Proactive and solution-oriented approach
• Practical experience in alert processing and analysis
• Interest in cryptocurrency, blockchain, and financial crime detection
